The Year in Touristing, and a Potentially Dull Housekeeping Note
but very interesting for those of you who like to offer Reader Feedback
It’s the season for “A Glance Under the Hood” posts, so here’s mine. I am subscribed to in 47 states and 54 countries. The largest single constituency of my readers (10%) resides in the state of New York. (Must be that billboard I paid for in Sodus.) I have another cluster in North Carolina, a place where I have not lived since 2012. I like to think that’s a bunch of my old MURAP and Central colleagues (hi, friends), but who knows. Three percent of my readers come from Morocco and two percent from India, countries I have never visited. I am flattered to think that people in either of those places have an interest in what I say.
There are around 1600 of you — thank you — of whom 143 are paying subscribers at the moment — thank you. If any current free subscribers would like to be comped for a year’s paid subscription — I’m copying an idea from Barbara here — send Doctors Without Borders a donation of at least $10, then email me (philipchristman@gmail.com) with the receipt.
